This was shown at the Royal Cinema (Faversham) between Jan 8th (Friday) to Jan 14th (Thursday) 2010 The movie is about a planet (actually it is a moon orbiting around a much larger planet) called Pandora which is inhabited by tall, blue, humanoid aliens called Na vi. The Na vi live in perfect harmony with the planet and can link their minds to some of the other creatures including a few which resemble dragons, which they ride on. Their technology consists of mainly bows and arrows. The visiting humans are really there to mine the planet for its minerals but need to try negotiations with the aliens first so they create avatars (human minds linked to na vi grown in a lab from a mix of human and alien DNA) to mix in with them in an effort to understand them. Eventually negotiations fail so the humans move in with troops and helicopter gunships ( More ... )

Adele performed on stage with another band member doing acoustic numbers like Black Velvet . This was Adele who works in Havershams (Faversham), not the Adele who sang Chasing Pavements !! The gig was at the Anchor Inn and started at about 20 30 Aug 23 (Sun) 2009 The usual people were in attendance including the model, Claudia Bryan, who had heard about the gig on this web site. An afternoon gig which is a bit unusual we know, but we thought with people having to go to work on a Monday morning this would be altogether more convenient and civilised. Loads of new material, tighter and sharper (and sounding better thanks to a blinding new P.A) than ever before, the same mad mix of genres and well known songs played with enthusiasm and originality never taking out eyes from our only aim...to entertain the audience, PLEASE come down and support us we always have a ball when we play the anchor ( More ... )
