The Events page shows a listing of events in Faversham and surounding areas.
If you live in (or near) Faversham and wish to have event details sent to you by either email or by SMS (Text) :-
- If you are not a member, Sign up, your password will be sent to your email address.
- Log on using your email and your password at the top right of the screen.
- Click Edit Alerts
- Set how you wish to be alerted either by Email or SMS. If by SMS you will need to enter a valid mobile number too.
- Set your interest level in the various event types (gigs,movies, shows, sports, etc)
- Click 'Save'

When you are hosting events or performing at them its vital to get the word out to the right people.
If you are performing at or run a venue in Faversham and wish to list event details :-
- If you are not a member, Sign up, your password will be sent to your email address.
- Log on using your email and your password at the top right of the screen.
- Click Events
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Create new event
- Set the beginning date, finishing date, venue (Most of the popular ones should be listed), event name, type (gig, movie, etc) and event details.
- Click 'Save'
- Your event should be visible when you click Events

Not everyone owns a computer or gets to visit this web site to learn about all the various events in town.
To get round that problem, this site can send out alerts to local members who have chosen to receive them, either by email or by SMS (Text).
The alerts come in 6 categories :-
- Live bands, Gigs
- Cinema or Film-showing
- Fairs, Carnivals, Car shows
- Sports, Matches (football, rugby), Bike rides
- Theatre, Drama or Plays
- Misc. (More categories will be added later when the need arises.)
Alerts can only be sent by paid-up members or members with an arrangement with the site owner.

- 9th September 2009 Faversham's official site has a Whats On Page.
- 1st September 2009 one of our sister sites, British Women Artists, is having an art competition. The prize is £300, £5 per artwork, deadline November 15th 2009.
- 3rd July 2009 It is now possible to see events on your mobile phone.
